Flamingo Drive

If you haven't eaten here yet, you need to. Flamingo Drive is excellence, plain and simple. The interior of the restaurant oozes Miami. The soft lighting, the neon lights, the colors, the textures, the plates, the napkins, the silverware, the cups; they all contribute to an immersive and fun ambiance. We ordered two appetizers: the Empanadas and the Croquettes. Both were really flavorful, perfectly prepared, and tastefully presented. My personal favorite of the two were the Empanadas. The sauce in particular was just outstanding. Our main dishes were the Cuban Sandwich and Fritta Burger. Amazing spot in all aspects. Service is great and friendly, they’re wicked knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating! It’s so beautiful inside, the decor is so cool and perfectly captures the vibe they’re going for, I can’t express enough how much I love the space! Blanche a Brasil was so so good, even my friends who don’t dig mezcal too much really liked it. The Yuca Fries and Croquets were delicious and super easy to share. The Cuban sandwich was obviously incredible and the friend chicken was also full of flavor - combining every component on the plate into one bite was so balanced and vibrant I wanted to get an order to take home! First day open and it has absolutely flawless service. Beautifully executed meals. We had the Ahi Tuna, broccoli cheese croquettes, yucca fries, and rice and beans. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is hip and cool. The bar, the restaurant, the lounge area and the bathrooms are truly beautiful. There is a private Lounge area in the rear of the building, it will be wonderful for warmer days.

Our first time eating here. Good menu selection with a variety of food. We found the ceviche on the appetize menu as our favorite, it was light and very flavorful, and we highly recommend. My wife had the fish, it was somewhat heavy although it was pan fried. I ordered the steak, it was cooked medium rare, very flavorful, and a good portion size.

After our disappointing Valentine's dinner nearby where our waitress never gave me any liquor refill, I ended up making a 20 seconds walk to check out this place since they seemed to have good vibe. I'm glad we did. The greeter was extremely friendly (not sure if it was an owner/manager, but he also briefly waited at our table and I saw him behind the bar!). He gave me brief introduction of the restaurant and the history of the place, and explained the menu to us really well. Atmosphere was very cozy. I could not stop staring at their peculiar wall with wave pattern of light bulbs. And their ceiling with multiple color LEDs!
