Covina Tasty

They are back in business! Passed by and just saw a person inside, went to the window and was able to order!!! Welcome back my old sweet sweet friend! Too excited to right now for a long review, will add on afterwards

I drove by recently and thought this place had closed, which made me sad another small business gone, or so I thought. My nephew asked about the ice cream spot we usually park and walk to, so I drove by to show him it was closed. To our surprise, it was actually open! There didn’t seem to be a huge variety of options, but the couple working the window was very sweet. There was a bit of a language barrier, which was noticeable during some interactions, and a sign asking customers to order by number. It was clear they were doing their best. A good reminder to be patient and kind. The kids enjoyed their ice cream, and it was nice to see the place open after all.

I think this time, my butterscotch coating on my dipped cone was too thick to harden and create a sugar snap like how I usually like it. It was cold out but my coating was still rather chewy. I should have ordered a small, my medium was a lot of ice cream. Good if you're really craving a nice amount of soft serve.

This place was a staple in Covina. People come here for ice cream and other treats, but as of late, it hasn't been open. Google says it's open, but upon arriving, it is very much closed in the middle of the day. I don't know what's going on, but I think Covina Tasty is going to close permanently. Whoever is running the place has ZERO internet presence and communication. It's just sad because this spot used to be so good.

We found this place by chance. So we ordered a banana 🍌 milkshake. I must say it was good compared to other places that offer similar milkshakes. If we are in Covina again we will it definitely stop and try a different flavor.
