Courtney's Bagel Cafe and Deli

I’ve worked around the block for YEARS and never knew they made this type of sandwich - The Californian is AMAZING. Those that are complaining they seem to always be sold out of what you want, how about showing up early or calling ahead? OR, here’s one: being happy for a local business that seems to be thriving! Seems like a place out of the 1960s. Probably when most of the customers were born too based on who I saw on a Thursday morning. Placed my order at the cash register ($5 card minimum), and it went into the kitchen on a paper ticket. The cinnamon raisin bagel itself was small, hard, and a bit bland, and the cream cheese was sliced off a loaf. The atmosphere wasn’t exactly inviting. A large TV blares the latest spin on 24/7 cable news (I think it was fox), and food came out on a cafeteria tray.

Excellent service. Kind and friendly. The bagels and treats are very good, too!

Courtney’s is the best kept secret in Owings Mills. Their breakfast sandwiches are AMAZING!! And the man behind the magic, Sal, makes the best turkey bacon on the planet. The turkey bacon BLT is my weekly staple, but the shrimp salad looks outstanding and I’d venture to guess that just about anything Sal conjures up will be a slice of heaven on your plate. Courtney and the staff are always friendly, personable and a breath of positive fresh air each and every time I visit. I cannot speak their praises highly enough, and emphatically recommend Courtney’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

I am fortunate to have the staff of Courtney's as my friends... just like Cheers, only in Owings Mills, MD. The bagels are terrific, hand prepared on site, not shipped in from NYC. A cheery and friendly atmosphere, courteously conveyed by Courtney herself, and the rest of the gang! Fair prices and great eats. See ya there soon!
