Courthouse Kabob

Stopped by Courthouse Kabob and had a decent experience. The staff stood out—they were super nice and clearly working hard to keep things running smoothly. It’s always good to see that kind of effort. Prices were reasonable, especially for the area. The place was fairly clean—nothing fancy, but it felt cared for. The food was fine. Nothing that blew me away, but it hit the spot. It’s a small, local business, and it’s worth supporting places like this. You get honest food, good service, and fair prices.

Good but not great, at least not for the qabeli palaw (which is also the national dish of Afghanistan). The lamb shank didn't seem that fresh unfortunately and they forgot to give us utensils and had to go back for them. The accompanying naan was thin and a bit dry, although chewy on the edges. The rice however was great! Service leaves more to be desired, attention to detail. The atmosphere felt relaxed.

Really good food! Ordered a chicken kabob plate from here yesterday and was very impressed with the combination of flavors between the chicken, veggies, and sauces. They also threw in a huge tandoori baked naan which was an awesome surprise! I do wish there were spicy sauces on the menu but other than that everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Amazing food, big portions, and great value! Get the Mantu dumplings!!! The kofta/Koobideh is delicious. They give you a lot of rice. The lamb shank is especially delicious. The carrot rice is super delicious. And the spinach side dish was even better than you'd imagine. A single meal + mantu can feed 2 people. This is a restaurant I'd go back to over and over again and their employees are all kind. I'd rate this as still worth it after a 25% increase in price.

The kabobs are delicious, tender and yummy. I like the sauce they put atop the already delicious and fluffy rice. The portion sizes are large - one meal provides me with leftovers for a full lunch The next day The salmon kabob is excellent but so are the lamb kabobs. Their combo platters are excellent for get togethers. If you eat in the staff usually comes by and offers you tea - and serves it to you free of charge. It's often not crowded - a secret great eating spot that has been serving up great meals for many years. 5 out of 5 stars, recommended.
