Super super cute inside! Great ambiance for sure. Got a mojito and Christmas cooler for a drink, both WAY too sweet, Ahi Poke Bowl and Bruschetta for appetizers. Poke bowl was much better than expected, the wasabi sauce was delicious! The Bruschetta lacked a TON on balsamic sauce and basil that was very much needed on the BUUURRRNNNT, not crispy but BURNT crustini bread. I got the parm crusted chicken and Gouda pasta, pasta and chicken was cooked very well but the lack of seasoning was crazy. Nothing to wrote home about on flavor. Definitely didn’t taste much like Gouda or parm or…salt even. Also got chicken masala, also, good temp cooked but massively lacked in flavor. Great place! Service is awesome, friendly. 2 of us had the filet, it was a large peice and very tender with a cream mushroom gravy which was delicious it had lots of flavor too, and roasted fingerling potatoes. I ordered a side salad and my husband ordered minestrone soup. My adult son ordered the parmesan encrusted chicken gouda pasta, he said it was very good, chicken was tender, pasta cooked just right, sauce was perfect. Definitely going to go back.

Tried The Courtyard out for the first time since moving to Alpena. What a cool place! The inside is decorated kind of like a little Italian town. We had a great server who did a great job introducing the place and taking our orders. The food was amazing. It's not an exaggeration to say that this is one of only a couple restaurants in Alpena worth going to. I had the seafood risotto. The lobster and scallops were done perfectly, and the rice was nice and creamy like it should be. My dining companion had their "Create Your Own Pasta" with fettuccine and a bianca sauce; also done perfectly with freshly-made pasta. This is a place that cares about the dishes they serve. Definitely recommend!

Food was really good. Atmosphere was ok; could really use some soft background music. Bruschetta and garlic bread were delicious. Waitstaff left us for long intervals which was a bit unpleasant towards the end when we were ready to leave but always was friendly and I do not believe was doing it intentionally.

Oh my goodness!!! My only complaint is that this plane has ruined all mozzarella stick enjoyment for anything other than here! I have never had better. There are none that will ever measure up! And we live five hours away!!! It is sooooooooooo good!!!!! And the atmosphere is so cool! I love all the beaded chandeliers! Couldn’t be better!
