Country Cafe

This is a regular breakfast place for us. We always get plenty of food. I always get something from their “mess” menu, and bring home enough for another meal. Their pancakes are phenomenal. Basically, it’s a cozy, delicious spot.

I stopped in for the Country Fried Steak breakfast. First time there. The Steak was EXTREMELY tough. It's a favorite of mine and I'm always willing to try them anywhere we go. But, I'd definitely avoid the this dish there. Even the Steak knife wasn't enough. I eventually got tired of chewing so much that I abandoned the meal. And the hash browns were mushy and lacked the the nice crispy brown outsides. I'll try a dinner there sometime. But I'd skip the breakfast.

Convenient cafe on the highway. Huge portions, definitely shareable. Food was delicious. $80 for 4 of us. The fried chicken with biscuit & gravy + bacon we split between 2 of us and added French toast. Their French toast has a cornflake crust which was unique. Everyone said their food was delicious.

This food is really good and very filling. I had a hamburger patty melt and I added mushrooms to it which made it perfect. I enjoyed the tater tots as well. The Strawberry milkshake my daughter ordered was fantastic as well. My boys were a little disappointed with their hot chocolate they said it was a little watery and little tasteless. My oldest son loved his macaroni and cheese he said it was right on the mark. My youngest son says his panty was magnificent. My daughter said her chicken patty melt was okay. My husband loved his chicken patty melt. Priscilla was our server today and she did a great job. Priscilla check in on us regularly to make sure that we had everything we needed. I think I was too excited this place was going to be better than it was because the parking lot was full and there was a little wait for a table. My expectations were clearly too high! The staff was pleasant, but most not smiling and didn't engage much at all. We only ordered a few things and it took almost an hour after ordering to get the food you see. Yikes. The food wasn't even great for it taking that long. It was actually just OK. The Mexican mess dish was weird. A pile of mush or leftovers with very little taste. At least the avocado was fresh and good. They certainly got the same right for that dish - a mess! The burrito was slightly better than the mess. I ate it because I was hungry and their food for what you get isn't cheap. The cinnamon roll French toast was extremely underwhe
