Costa's Mediterranean Cafe

It was my family’s first time going there, although my parents are regulars. We got there before 5:30 on a Saturday. It was steady but not in the weeds and they had plenty of workers presently staffed. They don’t need to advertise on the menu a full bar because they cannot make an old fashioned. In fact, they told me after 30 minutes of waiting for it to be made, to pick something easier. So I got wine. No bartender either. Our waitress sucked and we waited nearly 2 hours for our meal, had to get our own refills on water and soda. My husband said we will not be back. It’s a shame because the pasta sauce was authentic and the food was really good. House dressing in salad was amazing. The atmosphere was a good vibe. Basically the manager had to wait on us because our waitress got lost.

The food was delicious as always but they were short on wait staff and it took quite awhile to get our food. Was very disappointed when they brought out breadsticks, not their usual. When we asked what happened to their fantastic breadsticks, we were told we could still purchase a breadstick for $2.00. Wish we were told that to begin with. The portions have also gotten quite a bit smaller. But still delicious .

THE worst service that I have ever received at a restaurant in Hoover. I live close to Costa's, and I go there often. Today, I arrived at 11:05AM--not a busy time. There was only one couple in there at the time. I had to wait to be seated. Then, it took longer than it should have for my order to be taken. Then, I waited a long time for it to arrive. Not once did the server come to my table to ask if everything was ok, if I wanted another glass of wine, etc. Then I had to wait a long time for my check. I am a patient person, but there was absolutely no excuse for this poor service, especially at this time of day---on a weekday! If I could give lower than 1 * on service, I would!

I had the worst experience here. First off, I've never dined in, I always called in my order and picked it up. My company also gets food from here. I've been buying food from them for over ten years. But last night was horrible. My waiter never checked on me. People around me seemed to be having a good experience but I would too, if my waiter actually checked in. I finally got up, wanting to just pay for the salad and breadsticks I got and the entre I ordered. When I explained, why I was a tad bit upset, I was told to just leave. I was baffled and so very upset because I'm probably never going to eat here again. At a place I once loved getting food from. I'm not even sure why I was dismissed like that. It was so horrible. We had a very bad experience at Costa restaurant in hoover today. went there cause we never been, well apparently we went to the wrong door, there's a side door and front, we went to the side because we saw other people go in that door. So we dont see a hostess or anything and we stand there awkwardly until a lady asks us if we have been seated yet, I say no. She asks table or booth, I say booth if available. She seats us off to the side from where other people are sitting. As soon as we sit, a hostess comes to her and says, dont seat anyone in that area it is for reservations. Firstly she shouldn't have said that in front of us. Secondly, they should have immediately moved us. So we get our order in and other staff start coming out into the area we are sitting, they're saying the rese
