Cort Cottage

This lovely hidden cottage is located minutes from Sequoia National Park and offers serene views allowing anyone to enjoy the surrounding nature. Our host Elsah was a superb host providing a clean, comfortable, and well stocked cottage with all the essentials. If you're into stargazing or just want to get away from the hustle and bustle Cort Cottage is a fantastic experience.

Our stay at Cort Cottage was absolutely lovely. It was extremely close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park, so it was an easy commute to and back from the cottage during our trip here! The cottage itself was pristine and well thought out... the amenities were lovely, and the air conditioning was particularly wonderful during the warmer summer weekend we visited. We saw lots of wildlife from the panoramic window in the living room, and enjoyed evenings of reading books from the cottage's vast library. During the day we visited the National Park and did some amazing hikes, and the best part was coming home to the cottage and being able to take a nice shower and relax in some extremely plush/cozy armchairs, while unwinding with a good book and stellar views. This cottage is truly magical. Every inch inside of the cabin is decorated with love and care. The book collection is completely inspiring and awesome. The view is absolutely stunning and It is very nice to sit outside and have a cup of coffee in the morning. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and cups and plates and it is a perfect place to cook a nice meal. We were visiting Sequoia and found this place to be the most magical cabin. I have stayed at many Airbnb’s and vacations rentals and this place stands out! The host takes a lot of care to make the cabin an experience of nature, quiet, and inspiration. Her artwork is very spiritual and also hangs on the walls. Very highly recommend!

As soon as you walk through the trellis down the path to the cottage, you know you are in for a real treat. Elsah Cort has done an excellent job of creating a space that is both functional and tranquil. The kitchen is equipped with all you could ever need. We loved the sunken shower, and bathroom items that we couldn't bring on the plane were amply provided. Inside and out, Cort Cottage gives the feeling of being truly in the thick of nature. We spent early mornings planning our day trips to Sequoia National Park, basking in the sunshine, looking out towards the hillsides and mountains and loving the resident wren hiding in the grapevines. Elsah is a wonderful host, greeting you when you arrive, filling you in on the area, answering your questions and yet letting you have your privacy

We stayed at Cort Cottage for two nights as part of our one week honeymoon. This was by far one of the best parts of our trip. The cottage is quiet, private, and peaceful with picturesque views of the mountainside. Elsa, the owner provided us with yummy staples to make breakfast from (eggs, raisin toast, coffee, other breads, butter, fruit, milk, and orange juice) which was a nice change from eating out during our trip. In the kitchen is every gadget you could ask for to make other meals if you bring food. The bed and living areas are comfy. If we hadn't wanted to do hiking in the area, we could have easily stayed inside the cabin all day. Also, nightime is divine.
