Corner Grub House

The outdoor seating area at Corner Grub House was beautiful, with a fantastic view overlooking downtown Sulphur Springs. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick, and the beer was served ice cold — a great start to the evening. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite measure up. My steak, ordered medium rare, first arrived closer to medium to medium well. After sending it back, it came out medium. I also found a piece of plastic wrap in my broccoli. While the baked potato was fine, the steak’s flavor was underwhelming, especially for a filet. That said, the atmosphere and service helped make the visit enjoyable overall. With a little more consistency in the kitchen, this spot could really shine.

everything about this place is amazing. the natureful atmosphere and the superior service is great. i loved the worker named Natalie, she’s delightful to be around !! 💕 the food is really good as well, if you get a steak, however you asked for it to be cooked will be perfectly done.

Had such a great experience here I ordered the chicken strips and they were absolutely delicious crispy on the outside tender on the inside, and full of flavor. Everything came out hot and fresh, which made it even better. Our waitress, Perla, was wonderful. She was incredibly sweet attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. She checked in at just the right times and had a great attitude the whole visit. The combination of amazing food and excellent service really made this a standout experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.

Elizabeth is most wonderful person we have met in a bartender. She very personable, remembers our drinks, always checking in on us is everything is ok and her personality is the greatest. I wish there were more bartenders out in other establishments like her. She is the most awesome person. When my family is here out of state this is the first they want to come to meet Elizabeth. It’s blessing to come here.

Always consistently great food. This was my first time having the Salad bar. While compactl its pretty well stocked. Very comparable to larger salad bars . Lots of paintings on the wall. Just a Narrow little corner Restaurant in the old part of town. Nice out door seating. Chicken Fried Steaks are always Tender N hearty. Mashed potatoes and fried okra are great. They used to have catfish (it might be the all you can eat, I didn't ask last time i was in. Prices may seem high on the menu but trust me its worth every penny. If their super busy service may fall off a little and trust me they do get busy. It's not bad service they're just swamped. I will always go here when budget and circumstances allow.
