Coolidge American Legion Dining Hall

This is a veterans place. They have some people still working here who make the atmosphere very unpleasant some days. Overall, it is a good spot to eat, drink, and hang out. They are trying to change things and make it more friendly but have failed miserably ,they now play more music and have karaoke 🎤 available & Pool 🎱 tournament's also happen occasionally. I used too visit at least every week and dine here and get a drink, but now the atmosphere has gone really bad and the bartender has to be told how to mix basic drink selections, they made changes that forced many veterans to leave and have made a point about it.

Parking is a bit of a mess and the dining hall is really big which I appreciate especially since I’ll have a little one on the way. They provide lots of high chairs and etc baby stuff for kids. I was a little disappointed to see that 9 months ago, someone posted that they had chili cheese fries and fried zucchini to arrive with BOTH gone 😭 All of their chili products were off the menu! I hope it returns because I was really excited for those! The one thing about the food I didn’t like was the Alfredo ☹️ it lacked flavor. However my husbands patty melt was really good. I looked at other peoples food and really should’ve got the fried shrimp and burgers 🤤😢 Service is slow but they do have alot of families that come in. They definitely need more help here but we were patience as can be. Ill

Food was good, server was pleasant friendly and pricing was very fair. Only issue was the cigarette smoke. My wife and I are not used to and quite intolerant to smoke and it permeated the area as the bar is immediately adjacent the dining area. Probably won't be back but only due to the smoke.

I really enjoy going to the Legion to eat! It's different than all of the restaurants in town that everyone ALWAYS goes to. Even though they do allow smoking in the bar area, the Dining Hall is totally smoke-free & kid friendly, which is nice since I have 2 toddlers. It's a real family environment. Everyone is happy to see everyone, and they welcome you with open arms. It's got a REAL small town vibe. Plus, it's UNLIMITED servings of Fish EVERY Friday! How awesome is that?!
