Cook's Lobster & Ale House

The BEST, FRESHEST fish and chips I've had in my life. Grew up in New England, live here, and when I tell you this was caught 8 minutes ago and deep fried, I mean it. The staff is so nice. Even the other patrons are great. 11/10. This place should be your home base for any trip out.

10/10 I don't order fish and chips anywhere because its almost always overfried and dry. SO glad I let my fiancee convince me to share this with him because GOTDAMN, this could not be more different. Do yourself a favor and get this plate and just sit back and enjoy.

We had the absolute best experience here. We came up to ME for our anniversary and decided to go to Cook’s and it was the best decision. We got the 1/2 pound of steamers for two people, it was the perfect amount for an appetizer and they tasted amazing! My husband got a lobster roll and I I got the lobster dip and a side salad. The lobster dip was to DIE for, and everything else was very good and beautifully plated. We waited on drinks a few times but we were at the bar and they were busy, we didn’t mind a little wait here and there. We took a peanut butter pie to go and it was an excellent treat for the end of our night. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Wow! Another great time.. Asked for a switch of fish on a sandwich of chicken and soo accommodating for my dietary restrictions. What an amazing meal! Love this place!

We had an incredible meal yesterday, Valentines day. I had the short rib. It was absolutely fantastic. My date has the freshest, lightest fish n chips. The lobster dip was delicious with huge chunks of lobster meat. The handcrafted drinks were yum, yum, yummy. The prices are above average but the food is way way above average...worth every penny! Thank you Cooks for another wonderful date night!
