Comsewogue Public Library

Something amazing is always going on at this library! There is so many things to do, like go on the computers, check out books, and they have all sorts of programs! I have been going to this library FOREVER and it is amazing! I would highly recommend to anyone who lives near the area because it is just that amazing! The staff at the library are just so caring, kind and super helpful!

2026:They went out of their way to NOT shovel the snow around the bike rack. To the patrons: If you have internet at home, use that. You're taking the very limited space from those who don't have internet at home. Which is the purpose of the library having internet. There's also Starbucks. Edit: Do you need someone to clean the bathrooms? It doesn't seem like you ever clean the bathrooms during the day. Original: They have no privacy what so ever. And the closest they have, are three desk upstairs. But they HAVE the "security guard" taking up one of the very few places you can sit by yourself. Libraries used to be a place to get some privacy while you study.

Excellent place to hang out with books. It even allows me to borrow new books even though I have a Suffolk County library card from another school district.

A service offered by the staff is maintaining the same indifference to its neighbor, the fire house, flying the American flag wrong for weeks as the Fire District & the County Executive does. Not a place I will ever return to as I am currently awaiting the news it, and a large region around it, was raze from the Earth. Just my opinion.

Great library. Friendly; helpful staff. Lots of programs, informative events for all ages. Use of computers, copy, and fax also available to guests. Very clean facilities. Coffee and snack designated area to meet, sit, and chat. Come and enjoy browsing thru the expansive reading material. Also, offer drop off of used batteries and collect donations of canned food for human consumption and pets. There is a monthly schedule of movies played.. The grounds are meticulously attended for the enjoyment of the public and beautifully crafted metal sculptures throughout, as well as many painted stones and benches making the gardens a nice place to take a stroll, sit and enjoy the sun. Lastly, there is a little green wooden structure "pantry" set up for the community where you can drop off a can or
