Como Lake B&B

My wife and I recently spent the night and it was amazing! The host, Carla, was so friendly and we had a wonderful conversation with her. Very comfortable bed, clean rooms, and delicious breakfast!

Location was perfect. Lake Como right outside the door. Walk around the lake, walk to Como Zoo and Gardens, and able to walk to the fairgrounds. Minnesota Fair is awesome. The B and B is very tastefully decorated. Walking into the entrance is like stepping back in time with all the antiques and bits and pieces of the past. Each morning you are greeted with a culinary experience to start your day. The wild rice blueberry pancakes are worth the trip alone. We will return, as this location is great for getting out and seeing the sights. Carla is the perfect Inn keeper.|Both she and Holly strive to please and make your stay a memorable one (and that is exactly what they do). As a fellow bed and breakfast owner, I can’t help but admire what you’ve created at Como Lake B&B. Your beautifully restored 1915 Craftsman home offers a peaceful retreat with cozy rooms, antique charm, and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests rave about the delicious breakfasts and the serene lake views. It's a perfect spot for relaxation or exploring nearby attractions.

For our first visit to Minnesota, I don't think we could have found a better place to stay! Carla was an incredible hostess. She asked right away about allergies or preferences for breakfast, which were all delicious and different each day, using mostly organic and locally sourced and made from scratch products. She was incredibly accommodating to our autistic daughter's needs as well. My favorite was the veggie, egg, and goat cheese concoction served with bacon. We had the Aerie Suite, which is the entire 3rd floor, and it was comfortable, clean, quiet, and spacious, though some might find the stairs challenging. We were right across the road from Como Lake, so gorgeous views from our windows. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings looking out over the garden and the lake.

The Lake Room has a wonderful view of Como Lake. Breakfast is delicious. Carla is a wonderful host. Walk everywhere from here--the park nearby is huge and safe, even at night. Como Lake trail is a 1.5-mile scenic trek not to miss. You're minutes from the best the Twin Cities has to offer by staying here. Antiques all over this old home. It's really an experience!
