Colt's BBQ & Steakhouse

Seems like a brand new restaurant but super nice staff and the tater tots were amazing! We got the pulled chicken which was great and the chicken wings were delicious too, they claimed to have the best blue cheese but I wont agree completely. I tried it and the amount of blu cheese chunks was great but it was too creamy like ranch and not pasty enough.

Was there last night. They had 4 tvs on the walls showing: news, golf, and 2 college football games. Had a variety christmas music playing. I enjoyed the redneck pork and Cole slaw with lemonade. I like their mustard honey bbq sauce. Had to finish of someone else's fries and my Mom's bbq for her! She wanted a slice of carrots cake and finished that for her too!

For years I drove by what used to be Colts Pig Stand on Saxon, next to the Racetrack off I-4 on the Orange City side, assuming it was just another average BBQ spot. I never stopped in back then. They’ve now rebranded to Colts BBQ & Steakhouse, and on our way back from Orlando yesterday we decided to give it a try based on a recommendation from someone in this group who said they had a really good ribeye — and he definitely wasn’t lying. We started with onion rings as an appetizer, and they were delicious. Crispy, not greasy, and a great start to the meal. For the main course, I ordered the ribeye cooked medium with sautéed mushrooms on top, and it was cooked perfectly. For the past three years we’ve ordered from Colt’s for The Oldest’s Birthday, and for the third year in a row our order was wrong. Did we call to complain? Nope. After two years of doing just that, driving back up to get the missing items, and then someone ending up missing dinner with the rest of the family, a third time wasn’t worth it. Besides, the girl who gave us the food seemed less than thrilled to be doing just that. I’m sure the service is fine when eating in, but we prefer, as a family, to bring it home. And considering the cost for five to eat, whether it be dine in or takeout, I would expect a little bit better service. Everything was amazing!!! The onion rings were very crunchy and well seasoned. The ribs fell off the bone and the brisket melted in my mouth. 10/10! I'll come back for sure!!
