Colonial Inn

My husband and i spent a honeymoon their in February. I'm disabled so I had a issues with one of the rooms that I stayed in. Which was beautiful and had an amazing view. Unfortunately had a couple stairs that I could not get up and down but Chris was very helpful in placing us into another beautiful room. All the staff was amazing. And we love the sweet basket that they would provide us with our breakfast, coffee and with cookies in the morning.I highly recommend staying at the colonial land inn. We will be back, and we had a great time!They have wonderful stores and great food in the little village. Some rooms are handicap accessible. We stayed in 1 it was beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful room! I was in the Johnson Suite, which is a hop, skip and jump from all the shops. Everything in the room was tastefully done with a historical/antique feel. The added modern amenities like a micro fridge and LED televisions are hidden in large closets, which is genius, as the victorian feel is never lost. Each room (the living area and bedroom), both had a TV and electric fireplace. The bathroom had a huge soaking tub which I really enjoyed. If you step out of the room and walk literally 20 steps to the left, get yourself some nice homemade bath products and relax. I didn't want to leave. Very nice people. Highly recommended!

We have been going to the Colonial Inn for a few years now and though it is about time to write a review! Not only is the Inn quaint and the rooms really nice but the staff there is excellent. They are friendly and accommodating. They provide hot chocolate or coffee with the most scrumptious shortbread cookies in the afternoon as well as breakfast in the morning. We usually go during the Holidays and there is a light show that is literally right next to the Inn. The shops there are unique and at the Inn you are right in the middle of everything. I would highly recommend the Colonial Inn.

I would love to give this place 5 stars because the rooms and staff are wonderful. Unfortunately the walls and floors are paper thin. I would expect this place to have a wholesome vibe, but I swear the people above us must be on drugs or something because they have been yelling, stomping, and slamming doors since 3 a.m.. There's no phone to call a front desk. I thought this would be more quiet and peaceful than a hotel. Nope! I picked this room because I'm disabled and it appeared to be very accessible. But my MS keeps me awake enough at night, I don't need these loud neighbors on top of that!

The Colonial Inn in Historic Smithville, New Jersey was a fantastic spot for the guys to get ready on the wedding day.
