Collins House Bed and Breakfast

My best friend and I met at our halfway point that led us to this incredible jewel of a bed and breakfast. From the minute the front door opened to the hugs goodbye, Carol and Rod made this weekend exceptional. The home itself is beautiful and a perfect cozy spot for the cold of January. Breakfast was top notch and the care they put into it is felt in every bite. My friend and I both could not stop talking about how comfortable our beds were (such a hard thing to find when you travel) but they did their homework and made these beds top quality! Every little thing is thought about from cookies to welcome you, drinks you have access to your entire stay, board games, a fireplace to warm yourself by....truly it was a wonderful top notch experience. We stayed at the Collins House B+B for 4 nights before our daughter’s wedding. It is beautifully decorated, well-kept up and very reasonably priced. The breakfasts are delicious and the innkeepers are very pleasant and not intrusive. We recommend it highly. It’s also very well situated for those wanting to enjoy the natural beauty of Hungry Mother State Park.

My husband and I recently spent the weekend at the Collins House. Everything was|immaculate and breakfast was excellent both mornings. Carol and Rod are warm, friendly and caring people and they go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable. Every detail is covered from yummy homemade cookies, tea, coffee in the evenings to robes in the closets. We were greeted with a smile, and we definitely left with a smile. We highly recommend a stay here.

This place was immaculate! We were greeted by the owners, Carol and Rod. They showed us everything we needed to know. After putting our luggage away, we walked downtown to eat. Great location to enjoy the town. The B&B bed so so comfortable and the breakfast was a delight! Would definitely recommend and go back!

I found a gem just 25 minutes down the road. The Collins House is a sweet quiet getaway in a local, country town of Marion, on Main Street, glorious stay. Carol and Rod have done a spectacular job being host of this beautiful bed-and-breakfast. I was greeted with gracious kindness and slept in peaceful, clean surroundings. Easy walk to the Lincoln Theater and great dining options like The Swamp Fox. The home is spectacular with wonderful guest to meet and exceptional breakfast goodies, and an abundance of good coffee.
