CoCoLo Sushi

Cocolo Sushi balls out. This sushi is delicious and so so fresh and I’m picky about my sushi. There can be a long wait so I’ve just gone right at opening to avoid that. The fish is amazing and the variety of rolls will make you smile! The rice is textbook Japanese. Depending on what you order it may be more expensive but you won’t regret it if you order a more expensive dish. I’ve done the chef special on one occasion and loved it. On another I did the chef’s choice nigiri and was again impressed. Can’t wait to go again when I’m back in Bethany!

Went for dinner with my mom. We didn’t have a reservation and got on at 4:30 at opening. We waiting around 5 minutes to sit. Even though it looked empty, we assumed there were reservations. So I recommend getting one. Our service was great. Quick, friendly and attentive. Our server was Wes, everything he recommended was great. We had a good time and enjoyed everything about the place. As we were leaving around 5:30 the place was full and people waiting. I’d suggest getting there early. We will definitely be coming back. Update: Just came back again with my Mom and it was just as good as I remembered. The food was fresh, creative and very tasty. Our service was great and we just happened to have Wes again as our server a year later. Just like before excellent service. Wes was just a good

This place is the best spot for sushi on DelMarVa, and it's not even close. I've honestly been to probably 90% of sushi joints from Middletown, DE to Salisbury, MD and all points in between (Dover, DE, Easton, MD, OCMD, DE beaches, etc.). Cocolo is on another level compared to all others I've been to - Flying Fish was pretty good, but closed a few years ago. Yes, they seem to have quirky reservations - probably because it's literally a mom/pop place and they're BUSY. I'm pretty sure the owners are an older Japanese couple who are probably in their 70s. And yes, it can be slower, but as it was explained to me when I've been....they are taking their time and making everything as ordered...I'm okay with that. The sushi and quality are amazing. The family who runs the location care about what they put out and how they treat their customers. Best shushi in that state.

CocoLo is a hidden sushi gem in Bethany Beach. We really enjoyed the Bethany Roll and Kilauea Roll. The fried ice cream was amazing too. Wes our server was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the menu and he loves the food he serves. I highly recommend the food here.
