Coal & Feed Coffee and Vittle

I would definitely and enthusiastically recommend this coffee shop. They sell more than coffee but as we passed through Holdredge that was what was on our mind along with the pastries they promised. Both were served with a smile and lots of small town cheer. As we set and enjoyed our treats it was easy to tell by the customers coming and going that the locals really appreciated the business and were happy to support it. One word of warning, the Google maps directions to this place is really screwed up and makes it hard to find, but with a little perseverance you will get there and I am sure you will be glad you did.

I’m from out of town and stopped by for coffee and lunch. It’s such a cute coffee shop! Love the vintage feel. My coffee was perfect and I loved the Chicken Salad Sandwich. I’m definitely coming back every time I visit Holdrege!

The service here was honestly unacceptable. The people there acted like helping customers was a bother, and when I asked a simple question, I got nothing but attitude. The ladies who seemed who i assumed were the owners were standing right there and didn’t step in or seem concerned, which says a lot. The food wasn’t any better. My sandwich tasted like it had been sitting out, and the bakery items were dry and flavorless. It’s clear they don’t have a real baker, because nothing in that case tasted fresh or homemade. The coffee was also subpar. Between the rude service and the poor-quality food and drinks, I won’t be back.
