Clarksburg Tavern

One of my favorite reasons to visit my family is to get a burger from this place. It's cooked perfectly every time! I also really, really love the homemade ranch! There's nothing quite like it and it's good on salad, fries and with a spoon! 😍

I heard Clarksburg Tavern has great fish and chips. As a native Midwesterner I know a good fish fry when I find one. CT delivers! Two very large pieces of Atlantic cod battered and fried crispy and golden on the outside and remained flakey and moist on the inside. Absolutely perfect! Their fries really stood out as well. Crisp exterior and very nice potato texture and flavor on the inside. Onion rings were pretty darn good as well. I will certainly return for fish and to try other items. Portions were so large I will get two, and maybe three meals out of everything.

If you value good customer service and excellent food, I would not recommend this place. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and it was extremely sweet—almost like it had been mixed with Kool-Aid. I had to send it back twice because the taste was still the same. I also ordered a ribeye steak, and when it arrived, it was very tough and completely unseasoned. I asked if I could substitute it for something else, and the chef personally came to my table. She stated, in a very rude tone, that the steak was properly seasoned and informed me that she would not be preparing another meal for me. In my opinion, that is poor customer service. That is not how a paying customer should be treated. It felt as though she took the complaint personally, which should never happen in a professional establishm

Absolutely Delicious. I'm not usually a 5 star person. So so so good. First time here sat immediately, was a slow lunch, server was new but very nice wanna say her name was Jen. We had ordered the ribs, unfortunately there was something wrong with the meat or whatever so we had a to replace that meal. Manager came over later and had said something along the lines of she'd rather serve something that was actually good rather than something thrown together. Appreciate that. i got the crispy chicken sandwich and oh my goodness never change your fries please!!! Those are the best fries Ive had in my entire life. They melt in your mouth yet have a crispy bite. the drinks and food and service were all great. Definitely found a good spot.

Came to Clarksburg Tavern after a day of shopping and going to some wineries. Reviews looked ok so we gave it a try. The good: Super friendly service. Immediately greated when we walked in and went we left. Food, for the most part was ok, depending on what you ordered. The appetizers we had (mozzarella sticks and pickle spears) were great. They came out hot and were flavorful. My husband had no complaints about the sandwich, but he rarely does. The bad: I ordered the nachos as my dinner option. It was kinda gross. The cheese was the processed canned cheese that turned cold quickly. The chicken was the kind that's out of a bag. I highly doubt the chips were made in-house as described on the menu.
