This is the South-Side's Secret. Firstly, don't come with a tiny appetite. You need to be prepared to eat big portions and enjoy better-than-home-cooked delicacies, including BRAISED OXTAILS, Rib Tips, Catfish Nuggets, Cornbread Muffins, Fried Okra, and Mashed Potatoes with their Signature brown gravy. FULL of flavor is the best way to describe the food here. And they have home-made peach and apple cobblers, and red velvet cake, and banana pudding and MORE. This review is backed by dad, mom, and son. Top-rate food here, deserving 6 stars.

Highly disappointed. I ordered a rib plate, which comes with two sides( Macaroni and potato salad I choose), and I added an extra side of collard greens. The ribs were dry. All the food was cold. The mac & cheese was like a brick, The collard greens were tasteless. But to top it all off, I got all the way home and realized she didn’t put my potato salad in the bag… so I went back of course for the potato salad and asked if possible for fresh ribs,I was told it wasn’t anymore I could order something else.

10/10 by far the best soul food I’ve ever had! The customer service was amazing. Very clean restaurant, feels like home! You can tell they make their food with love and truly cares about customers and community!

I found this place through Maps. A family operated Soul Food restaurant with some tasty offerings. I got the Fried Pork Chops with mac and cheese, collards, and a corn muffin. My wife had the Fried Catfish. Reasonable portions of everything. We waited a few minutes as all fried items are cooked upon order. Well worth the short wait. Great stop!
