City Seafood and Steak House

What a wonderful surprise! I was travelling around the holidays and decided to stop off for dinner. As an amateur food explorer, I always try to find a local place. This restaurant was wonderful! Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Food was top notch. The owners of the restaurant took the time to chat with us repeatedly ensuring that our visit was as delightful as it could be. Highly recommend!

Jimmy and Sharon own and run their delightful second generation family restaurant in a quaint, historic coal town. Both the Chilean Sea Bass and Devil Crab (family recipe) were delicious. Home made soups are highly recommended too. It’s a quiet setting, an easy diversion from I-81, but get there by about 7 Wednesday or Thursday so they don’t consider closing early. Busier on weekends. Great Christmas decorations there and all around town.

Ever hear of a hidden gem?!! This place is it. Located in Mahanoy City PA in the Pennsylvania mountains near Frackville and Tamaqua counties We stumbled across this homemade food restaurant by accident and had to go back again this year. The owners love what they do and are damn good at it!! The seafood is fresh from South Philly and the meat is also. This small little cozy restaurant is well worth the trip.

We were traveling on I81 from Carlisle to Connecticut. I found this place on Google. We tried this place run by a Husband and Wife team. The service was great. The limited menu turned out to have great choices. We all ordered different entree's. We shared a little bit. Everything was very good. I would recommend going for sure

On a fluke we googled steak house on our way through town. It was a great place. Thebiwner and his wife were so welcoming and friendly. We stood friendly and chatted for a bit before leaving. We will be making the 90min drive back just to eat here.
