A Taste of Addis Ababa in the Heart of Dallas, TX City Coffee is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm, attentive service that makes you feel right at home. The customer service is consistently excellent—friendly, genuine, and fast without feeling rushed. The star of the menu for me is their macchiato, rich, smooth, and crafted with the same care and depth of flavor you’d find in Addis Ababa. It’s rare to find a cup this good outside Ethiopia, but City Coffee nails it. Their cakes are equally impressive: always fresh, not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced. Sorry to give this low review but it is an honest review to help others that rely on google review to pick where to go. We came from other state to visit Dallas and was recommended to go to City Cafe. Tables were not clean, no one told us where to sit, the chechebsa was not that good. They had enough staff but not as attending as they can be. The waitresses once they came, they were sweet and helpful. The cake was not as tasteful as I hoped it was like back home.

Unequivocally my favorite breakfast spot in the DFW! I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it’s consistent every time! My go to is the foul special with a cappuccino, but everything on the menu is great (you can’t go wrong)! Their desserts are made with quality ingredients and authentic to form. 10/10!

There are many bakeries in the Dallas Metropolitan area. This bakery was next to a restaurant that we ate at for lunch so we decided to try it. The bakery was nice. There is not a lot of seating so beware if you are with a large group and/or family. The desserts looked good. I chose an Oreo cheesecake and a coffee cake. They were good but the other bakeries that I have been to are better. The Oreo cheesecake didn't taste like the traditional cheesecakes that I have been accustomed to having. They were not overly sweet and plenty moist. The coffee cake which had a mild coffee flavor melts in your mouth.

Top notch breakfast experience! Clear and concise menu with unique recipes. We ordered one of each item, which came out prompt, fresh and full of flavor. The Bakery desserts is where they excel!! Clearly possess decades of culinary experience with everything made in house. BEST Tiramisu I have ever had in my LIFE!
