Chud's Grille

The unique nature of the tiny town of Fremont is the nooks and crannies many of the businesses reside in. Chud’s Grille is located next to their market as well with humble but ample parking. It is a casual atmosphere and we were greeted promptly by Tony. I like that their coffee was made by the cup bc I always feel guilty making a place make a whole pot. Guess that’s the Catholic in me. The horseradish sauce was stellar along with the sauerkraut balls. My Western Patty Melt with steak fries was very good as I destroyed the whole plate. Just a hint of the “grill history” was in the flavor (as I usually expect as I’ve also worked a grill in a restaurant and it’s ridik to always clean the grill to a Mary Poppins-like perfection before every order.) As soon as you walk up on the restaurant, you get the sense of the 100 year history. The staff are friendly and open to sharing the history. The food is delicious! Try the Walleye and the sauerkraut balls! Then stop by the market afterwards!

Ordered their Chud Salad to be custom made with mustard. They do a good job and it was pretty tasty!

I definitely like eating here. Sometimes they're hard to find not everybody makes one. Pete runs the great establishment here. They also have a really good pre-made sloppy joes and that is really hard to find. Also, I would like to add that Pete will cash your lottery wins where other places will give you nothing but excuses why they will not.

*UPDATE Tried the burger n' fries, along with the veg basket and all were super good! We'll be back! Tried out Pete's pizza, it was delicious!! Lots of cheese! Really good sauce, pepperonis, and crust!! Yummm!
