Walked into Chuck Wagon BBQ for the first time and was immediately welcomed by the fun western themed atmosphere. The staff (and owner!) were incredibly warm and friendly, taking the time to make great suggestions. I ordered the 2-meat, 2-sides meal, and the portions were more than enough. The sides were absolutely delicious—clearly made with care. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the chicken perfectly cooked. Every bite was spot-on BBQ done right. Oh and the jalapeño cornbread was so good! On top of the great food, the service was wonderful—attentive without being rushed—and the whole experience felt inviting and fun. This is the kind of place you look forward to coming back to again and again. Can’t wait for my next visit! 😊

"ANOTHER WINNER!" Yesterday (on Friday, November 7, 2025), my party of two adults had lunch at Chuck Wagon BBQ Restaurant in Madison, AL. The establishment's decor was rustic yet modern. And, my impression was that it was a new or at least a fairly newly constructed space. From the menu, I chose one of their "Two Meat Plates," and I further selected the Brisket, Sausage, Green Beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Jalapeño Cornbread Muffin, and for dessert: a Peach Pie (or Turnover). The Brisket---carved right before my eyes---had a rich, hickory-smoked flavor, and was tender and delicious. The green beans were well-seasoned and delicious. The macaroni and cheese was VERY cheesy, rich tasting, well-seasoned too, and quite delicious as well. I also enjoyed the spicy jalapeño cornbread. Perhaps ne

I’ll start with the good: wings were very nice, flavorful and juicy. The brisket was solid, not phenomenal. Staff was good. The bad: the potato salad and spicy mustard slaw were kind of gross. I didn’t get beyond a bite each. Potato salad was mostly mayo with not nearly enough flavor. Spicy mustard slaw sounded like a good idea but flopped on execution. The terrible: charging an extra $1 for those burnt ends is embarrassing. Dry, flavorless. Probably the worst version I’ve had of one of my favorite foods. The meh: the inside feels like manufactured character. The jalapeño cornbread could be way better. Personally, I don’t like it when there’s no sauce at the table at a BBQ joint. Portions weren’t as big as I would expect for the price.

Best barbecue we have had in Alabama so far! I am from Texas, and have been missing Texas style BBQ since we moved here. This barbecue was right on point! Juicy brisket, fall off the bone ribs, good sausage, great sides, and amazing jalapeno cornbread. What more could you ask for? We will definitely add this to our list of favorites!

I have eaten at Chuck Wagon a few times, but always forget to write a review. The first time my family and I had the brisket, it is out of this world good! This time we had the ribs---oh my, we had a 1/2 slab left over, they are so meaty...and huge! They didn't need sauce, they were cooked and seasoned to perfection (like only my dad could cook). The baked beans, well, you can make a meal off of those alone - BBQ baked beans, brisket, and perfect blend of spices, very hearty, not like the ones that slide off your fork. You must try them. We did because we heard the ad on the radio, right when we were thinking what's for dinner!
