Edit*"Quick update to my original review (which is already posted here): I happened to drive by Chris’s Midtown Cafe in Chadbourn this morning and saw they were open. I had a little time, so I turned around and went back. Glad I did. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and it was excellent. The bread was fluffy and fresh, the bacon was thick and substantial — not that thin little pancake-house bacon — and the egg was cooked perfectly. Everything came together just right. You can definitely put them on your radar for a quick breakfast stop. Pro tip: call ahead and they’ll have it ready when you get there."
