Chop House BBQ

So as a Canadian I was recommended this place from a friend as my first time authentic Texas bbq. It was incredible. However, the Mac n cheese was very disappointing. I could drink the cheese sauce it was so liquidy.

This is the most tender brisket I have had in a long time. The sausage was perfectly cooked.

My group of 4 decided to take a detour from the tedious world of 'meat' and found ourselves swimming in a sea of glorious fat. A sandwich? More like a performance art piece celebrating the unsung hero of the culinary world: pure, unadulterated fat. The BBQ sauce? Perfectly passable. Didn't detract from the main attraction, which was, of course, fat. I found it so considerate that the sauce played a supporting role in this ensemble of indulgence. Best Roadside BBQ. Albert's a great guy and I really enjoyed the chopped Brisket and the Ribs. They take their time to let the flavor settle into the meat. 🙂 Revisit for the great Brisket and awesome Country Roads experience... People rate restaurants on atmosphere. The atmosphere here is beautiful. Albert told me that a small Deer, that eats Cheetos likes to hang out on the perimeter. 🙂

I wanted a relaxing weekend of no cooking so we ordered a couple of platters from Chop House. Absolutely AMAZING food and the owners are the nicest people you’ll ever meet!! The loaded potato is massive and full of flavor but the Texas Twinkie’s are my favorite!! Can’t say enough good things about them!!!
