Chipotle Mexican Grill

I would like to take a moment and say thank you to Chipotle (State College) for a terrible dinning experience on 02/27/26 at your N Atherton location. At least seven employees present. one working the front line 6 others standing around, dancing, checking their phones all the while the poor guy working the line (8 people deep) was doing everything he could to keep up while the others screwed around. The restaurant was trashed. None of the table’s were wiped down, garbage overflowing onto the floor, garbage all around the condiment area, the back where they serve food from was a complete mess as was the area where they prep food. It was BAD. not to mention, they were out of a lot of their ingredients. We watched at least 20 people come in and walk right back out. When I called corporate to

Ordered 3 bowls, with extra rice, extra cheese, beans, corn salsa, one with guacamole. 2 with lettuce. Got 3 bowls, no cheese, didn’t get guacamole on my bowl, and lettuce on all 3. Received extra nothing. Not to mention ordered chips and queso, received queso, no chips. I was told sorry, we’re out. This Chipotle gives the smallest portions, figured ordering extra would make up for it, it did not. Tried to goto the one downtown, but that place is so packed, and an absolute mess all day everyday, it’s really not worth it. Hopefully one of the 2 they’re currently building will be better managed. Terrible way to spend $40, and drive 20 min home to find out how incompetent one can be.

I asked for a burrito and they started to make a bowl. I didn’t notice until a couple of seconds later. When I pointed out that I had asked for a burrito they seemed extremely confused. The way that they responded made it seem like they were blaming me for this mistake. Not to mention this is how they wrapped my burrito… overall typically not good service at this location, wouldn’t recommend.

When I asked for salt on the side, I was told that Chipotle is no longer allowed to give salt to customers. They were very rude about it which seemed kind of odd to me. Then the guy said he personally made the chips that morning and he put tons of salt on them. When I sat down my chips hardly had any salt at all, so I walked up and politely showed him and said would you mind if I have some salt? Another guy in line working said no you can’t. And when I asked again, he looked back at a woman who I assumed was the manager, and she rolled her eyes at him. So finally, I pulled out a $10 bill and said can I please just buy some salt this is ridiculous that you won’t give it to me. And the guy behind the counter said I’m not sure if we’re allowed to sell it to you. Finally, the manager gave him

This was one of the worst Chipotle Bowl I ever had. The beef was mainly gristle. I had about 10 pieces of gristle. The brown rice was hard. The chips were stale. The chips had been sitting for hours. The tortilla chips tasted old, and they were hard to bite. I threw the entire bag away. I am completely disappointed in the food I was served. I have no interest in spending my money on poor quality food.
