Customer Reviews
I usually ask a prayer of blessing before a meal. I found myself praying that I wouldn't become violently ill. I was only sick for about 30 minutes after consumption. Very dirty restaurant (filthy plate glass entry doors couldn't begin to prepare me for the full experience) with zero service. Do yourself a favor and pass up China's Best Buffet in Brazil, IN.
So so. Food was fairly good. Most of it seemed fresh. But only a few labels for the food. No chicken wings or ribs. Smaller selection. On the plus side, drinks are included in the price. Fountain Coke products. And tea. No mold on the walls that I could see. Walls were painted pinkish, with the wainscoting, I think it's called, or wood on bottom half. All nicely varnished. Which matches the nice tables. Lunch buffet was $6.99 + tax, $7.47. Mens washroom smelled like pee. And definitely could use a good cleaning overall and the walls cleaned off of the graffiti and needs a good coat of paint.
Good variety of food options? No. Good service? Also no. Cleanliness? Apparently also no. Employee left the bathroom as I entered, heard the flush but not hand dryer, and soon discovered not only was there no toilet paper, but no soap! So she did not wash/dry her hands, let alone a patron being able to wash their hands. And she was same employee handling the credit cards up front.
Food was good but wasn't hot until a few more people came in and more dishes were freshened up. I had a pleasant experience but what really tanks my opinion is the fact you can't take your leftovers home. It causes so much waste and plus after being full from 1 plate of about $15 for entry, I could've saved myself a few dollars by just getting take out instead and being able to take it home. I understand the food safety concerns but also at the same time, I paid for it and since there was no excess consumption i don't understand why taking a plate full of food home is a problem. Some people would like to enjoy a nice meal and continue to do so at home if there is food left that could still be eaten instead of thrown away. Coming from a previous situation of being homeless and counting doll
It’s a nice place. Food is simple, it’s the kinda place you go to when you’ve got a trip ahead of you and just to grab something sit down and then leave. It’s a serve yourself like any typical buffet, drinks and silverware is your job to retrieve. The cups are smaller so I suggest go light on the ice and your drink should last you longer. But overall it’s a nice place. I’ve eaten there multiple times good place just nothing overly fancy.
