China Star

This is our favorite Chinese. It’s easy to order online. They have a good amount of meat and vegetables in the food. The portion sizes are big. The food tastes fresh. I get the tofu. The sesame chicken is great, too. It’s the best for Chinese carry out.

One word: WOW. These guys should change their name to China FIVE Stars. Took a chance on this quant hole in the wall just a few minutes from home, and I’m so thankful I did. Lunch special was just under $10 for a bowl of Roast Pork with Broccoli and Fried Rice, with a side of Egg Drop Soup. Food was out to me in less than five minutes. The pork had a nice tender texture and was cooked to perfection, the broccoli was fresh, the fried rice was a joy, and the SAUCE… my GOD. Pure bliss. Egg drop soup had me a bit skeptical with its uncharacteristically white color, but it too proved absolutely scrumptious, and it also lacked the high saltiness of other Chinese restaurants I’ve visited in the area. What an absolutely wondrous experience. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you, China Star!

Food was awful. Flavorless. Beef from the beef and broccoli was slimy. Iron wok is so much better.

New restaurant for me and I have to say I am very impressed. All of the food I ordered was delicious and fresh. The service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and neat. I ordered the chicken with almond and was surprised that the chicken was batter-fried and then stir fried with the sauce, vegetables and almonds. I’ve never had it batter-fried and served like this. However, I LOVED it and actually now think that I prefer it this way. It added texture and a nice flavor that worked perfectly with the almond. I also ordered the shrimp fried rice and an egg roll and both were amazing. After some recent bad experiences at other restaurants (due to two reheating food past safe dates), I was hesitant to try somewhere new. I’m so glad I picked China Star! Wow. Today was our first visit to China Star and we will most definitely be back. The egg drop soup was delicious, as were the egg rolls, and my shrimp lo mein was flavored nicely and the shrimp was done perfectly. Everything tasted so fresh.
