China In Bombay

I have been stopping at China in Bombay every time I pass through the St. Louis area for years, and it continues to be a reliable favorite. This visit was no exception. The beef pho was outstanding. The broth was deeply flavorful, hearty, and comforting, and the portion size was enormous. Easily one of the highlights of the meal and something I would go out of my way to order again. I also tried the cashew shrimp and the Szechuan chicken sticks. While I personally would have preferred the shrimp fried rather than stir fried, and the chicken sticks actually served on a stick, both dishes were still very tasty and well seasoned. The food is delightful. We ordered the chicken 65, Manchurian chicken, wonton soup, sweet corn soup, spring rolls and crab Rangoon. It was all scrumptious. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at. No decor, kinda dingy, cluttered with private mail and other personal effects. But don't let that discourage you from trying the food. I suggest if you are looking for a nicer place to dine then just grab takeout. But DO try the food!

I usually give starts to quality of food and service. For this restaurant it is definitely 5! We tried its garlic, orange and cashew chicken. All were super delicious. Since it was our first visit, we didn’t know how the restaurant looked like. I think it is better if you order ahead of time and pick up your food. The restaurant is small and probably some might not find it comfortable to dine in. The staff were nice. They kindly told us about the delay in preparing our order. We were 5 with a toddler and 3 dishes were more than enough.

I Get Chicken 65 every time I go to St Louis best tasting food in the area. Am grabbing 65 right now and driving 90mins back home.
