Chiko’s Tacos

Had to try this place after passing it on the way home from work. I’ve never been disappointed. Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. My favorite is probably the Tacos Albanil, but the Mexican tacos and tacos al carbon are also good. I’ve already been back several times, and will continue to support them. The service is always great and the lady at the window is always very nice and makes sure your visit is enjoyable and the food is fresh and delicious. I usually get mine to-go, but they do have a couple picnic tables and a small covered area for dining in.

The birria taco special is a must. These tortillas were classified as corn, but I can tell you, they were next level, as they were not gritty or grainy like regular corn tortillas. Freshly cooked, which resulted in a world, wind of textures. Crispy, tender tortillas, gooey melted cheese, tender beef, fresh onions, and parsley. The salsa Verde was excellent, perfectly seasoned mild fresh tasting. The consumé was excellent wonderful flavor. I ate at the picnic style tables out front. Jarritos drink selections. The owner came out herself and asked if everything was OK, which it was. She was very personable and a hard worker. Check this place out.

I love this little Taco Truck so much I have it saved in my favorites. The people/ customer service is excellent, and the food is great. I am sitting here in my truck eating carne asada street tacos with lime and Verde sauce. The tortillas are soft and super fresh and the meat is juicy and flavorful. The carnitas are also great as is the Birrias. I can't wait to come back for the fish tacos.... now I asked for mine to come without chiko sauce or cheese don't judge I am old school. It does come with if you would like.

Went out of my way to try this place out and will do so again because the food was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and there are a lot of options to choose from on the menu. A big plus is the parking space available at their location, which is becoming less common at eateries in the midcity area. Looking forward to coming back to try different menu items and further support a small, local business!

Great food you can tell it was prepared with love. Exceptionally nice people. Conditions are clean, covered if needed. Basic open air with tables. One of my favorite ways to dine. Prices are good as are portions. I will mention how nice they are again because it is wonderfully rare. Have been enjoying almost daily.
