This is undeniably one of the best "old school" butcher shops in northern California and beyond. All the meat is super fresh and TOP quality. The deli sandwichs are a revelation and seriously outstanding. I usually get the large roast beef and swiss on the most delicious onion roll I've ever eaten. They do their best to keep prices fair, even with the tomfoolery from the current administration. Also, like so many others have said, the folks who make up the staff are so sweet, so kind and so customer service driven, it's just a pleasure hanging out in there. Do yourself a favor and get a pack of the smoked duck breast, it's life changing. Good thing I only live a block away because the Locker always keeps me nice and chubby during the winter. Everyone at Chico locker are just absolutely amazing. Even when I’d call them early Friday for a 13 sandwich order for my shop. I wish more businesses in Chico operated like them. A true mom and pops shop. Just how I have always ran my automotive shops.

Ground beef is the best! Always fully stocked, marinated chicken breasts are so tender. Tri tips, delish! And oh my, the prime rib seasoned!! Wow! And of course the staff! Absolutely the best folks! Always friendly, they work hard and the sandwiches are a hit! Only place we go for meat!

Highest Quality people! Highest Quality food! Deli is amazing I had the Spectacular Hot Pastrami sandwich this time.. Also picked up some peppered Bacon made in house, because Bacon make everything better. Take the time to stop and see them you will forever thank me and them!!
