Chick's Market

I'm new to Vermont and someone told me that this place had the best cheese steaks. To be honest it was just ok to me. The meat was overcooked, cheese was like plastic and I ordered peppers on it and I think I received 1 slice. The fries were ok while they were hot. The onion rings were the best of thing I had from there. The cashier was nice. 6/10

Best sub in Winooski, hands down. Enormous and delicious. The folks behind the counter are fantastic. The selection of groceries is somewhat lacking, but enough to get by for sure. Oh, and creemees! Corner location with large sign is easy to find. Street parking. Empanada specials! A great neighborhood corner store and deli.

We stopped for Hot Hamburgers with fries and gravy and asked if burger came on bread and was told yes but not how it came...it was on a Hamburger Bun..big disappointment but fries n gravy were great!!!!

Chick's is the first time in a long time I've spent $12.50 on food and gotten $12.50's worth. At Mcdonald's you'd pay $20 for the same volume you get here, with less than half the quality. And the staff is level headed and grounded about what they do; don't give them any shit and they're cordial and friendly. Just remember, call and order up front before coming to get your food. It can take a while for them to make it.

The Turkey and bacon was as awesome as three years ago when i lived in VT. Huge grinder reasonable price. I highly recommend
