Chicken Shack

When I say this was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, I am not exaggerating. The owner was working the counter and shared that it’s his grandmother’s recipe—and you can absolutely taste the love in it. Perfectly crispy outside that is seasoned to perfection , juicy tender meat, and literally finger-licking good. My mom had the pulled pork and it was fantastic as well—tender, flavorful, and just as memorable. This is the kind of food that makes you want to come back again and again. To bad I don’t live here!

Craig, the owner and mastermind behind the menu is wholesome and makes some amazing food! The fried chicken is incredible every time, never over cooked and perfectly seasoned. The greens are the best I’ve had from any restaurant, ever. The mashed potatoes with gravy always hit and somehow even the green beans taste like they were made with love. You literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, every time we order the quality is consistently perfect and you’re always greeted with a smile. I love supporting local businesses, love it even more when it tastes this good. If you haven’t tried Chicken shack yet, what are you waiting for???

This was the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. The skin was delicious and flavourful, the chicken itself was juicy, and crazy good. It's definitely worth the price! The owner is an outstanding man, he has told me his life story and what he does and it's amazing. Thank you very much!! Be back again.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I stopped by randomly just because I was craving fried chicken, just to find the best fried chicken I’ve ever had while living in Florida. Crispy and well seasoned on the outside, juicy on the inside. Craig is the coolest, kindest, and down to earth owner I’ve ever met, just my interaction with him (before the food) was enough to make me wanna come back

I had heard many people rave about the fried chicken. Today, I drove to NSB and the reviews were correct. Chicken Shack has incredible cooked to order fried chicken. The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious too. I’m a fan of supporting small business.. especially ones with a heart towards what their craft is. Chicken Shack is all that and more!! I will definitely make the drive down from Ormond Beach to the Chicken Shack again
