Chicken Annie's Girard

Lovely small town experience fantastic chicken. The atmosphere is wonderful and feels like youre a guest in someone's home.

We had Chicken Annie’s Girard help with our catering for our son’s wedding in Chanute. They were exceptionally easy to work with, delivering the food, at the precise time needed. Hot and fresh. Caroline was friendly and very accommodating to our needs. Seems like it’s just a good old family business selling a quality product with exceptional service. It would be a wonderful world again if a few more companies operated with this kind of customer service! Highly pleased.

Chicken Annie's came highly recommended by many locals. We had tried one of the other local favorites the night before and unfortunately felt a little let down by Annie. We tried the livers, gizzards, and hearts appetizer, and while everything was super hot and fresh, it felt very underseasoned or not seasoned at all. The onion rings were really pretty decent. They were thick cut onions that were perfectly cooked, so the onion still had a bit of "crunch" to it. But they were a bit greasy. We both had dark meat chicken and two sides. The chicken was absolutely perfect and so full of flavor. One of us had the German potato salad and baked beans. German potato salad, not our cup of tea. I'm not saying it wasn't good. Lots of people were enjoying it... I think we just don't like German pot

Fantastic chicken fried steak and the gravy was smooth and delicious. You must get the slaw juice on the side for dipping. Can't wait to visit again.

The first time, I enjoyed the taste of Annie's Chicken yet not the last. So many great looking items will take a while to sample so will be a repeat. After many visits I have yet to try the pie as the servings are definitely filling. They sell fresh baked bread to take home as well as a couple slices brought to your table no matter your order.
