Chick-N-Dip

Never knew about this gem! Broasted chicken was cooked to order so took about 15 minutes but worth the wait! The only small drawback… the fries were not great. Try a shake too! Small, very basic inside seating but it added to the charm of “old school”. Be warned this place is CASH ONLY! There are numerous signs but just be prepared.

Took the 40 mile cruise and was first in the door on day 2 of their 67th season. Cheeseburger was not as tasty as I remembered. Bun was on the cusp of being stale. They must charge extra for tartar sauce, even though it was not disclosed. There was barely any of it on my burger. Hung out in the area and stopped back for chicken for dinner. The only thing hot and fresh in my 4 piece dinner was the breast. Leg, thigh, wing and fries were barely warm. I’ve never experienced that here before. I had asked for my malt to be made when I was ready to leave and was told no problem. They didn’t follow my request and it was served with the meal. The magic was not there today. Didn’t notice anyone wiping down the tables either.

CASH ONLY! The menu had chicken, burgers, and ice cream assortments. I didn't like that drinks do not come in meals. The dining room had a cool old school vibe. We got two medium sundaes, $3.21 each, and an order of 5 piece chicken strips $8.25. The cashier asked us if we wanted wipped cream and nuts without mentioning it was an extra .46 each, so it actually was $4.13 per sundae, which then came out to $18 even with tax. The sundaes had a small amount of nuts and more whipped cream and jam than ice cream. The ice cream wasn't even half the cup. Chicken strips were crispy and tasty but a little overpriced. Best chicken I’ve had in a while.. possibly ever. I can’t go back to kfc or Popeyes now it won’t be the same 😂 the coleslaw was insanely good. Milkshakes were great too Only downside to this place is the fact that I live 17 hours away

We've always enjoyed our chicken dinners from Chick n dip, friendly staff too. We make a special trip just to go there for the yummy chicken. I've also ordered BBQ sandwich (sloppy Joe) which was very tasty and also the shrimp dinner. We like to call ahead so by the time we get there we can just go sit down and enjoy our meal. We miss eating there when they close for the winter but are one of the first ones to be there in the spring!
