Chennai Express - Indian Cuisine

Chennai Express is a nice place to enjoy tasty Indian food. The place is little crammed and mostly take out order. The restaurant is small and cozy, with friendly staff and quick service. The menu has many options like biryani, dosa, and butter chicken. The food is full of flavor and served in good portions. Some dishes can be spicy, so it’s good to ask before ordering. The parotta is soft and fresh, and the chutneys are delicious. It’s a great spot for takeout or a casual meal. If you like South Indian food, this place is worth trying. Just bring cash to avoid extra card fees.

The sauce is really good for all the curry’s but the chicken always tastes sooo nasty. It’s chewy, rubbery, extremely fatty and just tastes so bad every single time i get it.

Picked up a ToGoodToGo here last night, not disappointed. Big heaping of rice, paneer and some kind of spicy chicken, plus a piece of naan, all for $5. Good, filling meal. Only wish it had some veggies included! Will definitely be coming back for full orders.

I love the food here!! My favorites are the poori masala, onion pakora and the chicken curry… the chole bhatture is also so good! I come here often and the food has always been so tasty. Yes, the place is a bit cramped but that’s ok.. I don’t mind. Btw I have extensive experience with the cuisine and I cook at home a lot. The way I see it is that if a restaurant can entice me to come out and eat somewhere, then it’s worth it.

Amazing biryani! We ordered the goat and chicken biryani for takeaway, rich flavors, perfectly cooked, and the aroma filled our entire suite. Thank you, Chennai Express, for bringing us a true taste of home.
