Chennai Eats

We were visiting Boston and googled this place. From outside it looked like an average take out place. We were craving South Indian food so we decided to try. And to our surprise food was amazing. We had Vada Sambhar, Podi Dosa, Spring Dosa and Uttapam. All the dishes were yum. Spices, flavor and taste so balanced. Portion size of sambhar and chutneys was perfect. Sambhar was like home made no extra oil and spices. Perfect eat out for breakfast. Must try if you are in Boston.

The food is incredible! This is my favorite Indian cuisine spot in Boston. The flavor is there, and everything tastes like comforting home-cooked food. I highly recommend, and makes for great leftovers too!

Wow, such a delicious find. Had heard about this new local gem and it did not disappoint. The flavors were amazing and the dishes well-prepared. Stopped by for early lunch and all tables were full by the time we left. Very clean, and although small, feels actually fairly spacious and still private enough for nice chats. We will be back! And with friends!

After having many transformative food experiences during my recent trip to South India, I was very excited to see many familiar items on the Chennai Eats menu. It was difficult to decide on just a couple of things to try -- so many delicious-sounding things! We got the Chettinadu chicken biryani, and it was delicious! Intensely spiced and flavored -- probably one of my favorite biryani ever. It's also huge and filling. We also got the Andhra chili chicken. We were expecting a green chili paste sauce, but they explained that they don't do that style since it's too spicy. This was barely spicy (apparently we got it medium spicy which is the default), and didn't taste like what we expected, but it was still really good! We visited this spot very recently and absolutely loved the food! We had authentic tamilnadu style biryani and chicken kothu parotta, perfectly seasoned and served fresh. The meat was tender and juicy. Liked the Chicken 65 as well. Got some Chicken tikka masala and chicken 65 again to-go and the tikka masala simply blew my mind, perfect balance of sweet and sour; not to mention creamy. Spent close to $85 in total and I would say it’s great value for money considering the quality and taste. They can slightly increase the quantity but it’s still a decent portion size. The few cons are 1. Service (bit sloppy, took the order wrong the 1st time and fixed it later; we asked for the family table but they offered the 2-people table even though the restaurant was mostly empty) but the food was serv
