Chen-Fu Chinese Fast Food

My father found this hidden gem over 20 years ago! We haven’t been in this place in years and decided to pay a visit to our favorite childhood restaurant. Once we took our first bite, we could not believe after so many years this place had the same great taste and flavors! Chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein are my absolute favorite. Rice is fluffy and loose. Chicken is flavorful and always made fresh. The chicken wings are a 10 out of 10 crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. Put some of their tasty duck sauce on top and you can easily go through a dozen. The broccoli and beef are also a must! This place is absolute best in Chinese food in Charlotte! Family owned restaurant providing outstanding service and fresh food! There’s a reason why they have been here for over 20 years! This

First time customer and, wow, I will be back! Even though I ordered delivery, every single thing arrived still hot, perfectly fresh and crispy, and the flavors were phenomenal! The portions were large and food was well-priced. We’re eating leftovers 24 hours later and even the leftovers are incredible. We had: General Chen’s Chicken, egg and spring rolls, fried dumplings, and wontons. I would (and will) order every one of those items again!

Visiting Charlotte for work and wanted some decent Chinese food. I was pleasantly surprised and got some very good food. The brown sauce they use for the egg foo yung was very good. I enjoyed my meal so much I went back the next day for lunch.

Not only is this some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in Charlotte, it has such a strong family and community dynamic! Everything was hot, fresh, and made to order. They had a sizable menu with a great variety of options. I can’t recommend the black bean delight enough! (I’m not vegetarian but the fried tofu was also absolutely to die for)

Ordered for the first time via delivery. The food had clearly not been handled very well in the delivery process. There was barely any broth left in the Won Ton Soup, the Vegetable Roll was so greasy it was completely soft, and the Garlic Chicken didn’t taste like garlic at all. Although the delivery was not their fault, the quality of the food did not make up for it. Not recommended.
