Charlie's Homestyle Diner

While Charlie's Homestyle Diner in Merrimack, New Hampshire offers a cozy atmosphere somewhat reminiscent of classic diners, my experience left something to be desired but I perhaps expected too much. The service was just fine it was more the food, while decent, lacked the wow factor I was hoping for because it wasn’t very homestyle. It was much closer to a frozen meal, I had the meatloaf and it was editable but a little bit like prison food when it came to the mashed potatoes. I’d expect real potatoes in New Hampshire not flake, processed and it was bad. Overall, while it's an okay spot for a casual meal, there are likely better options in the area.

First time here... Must say we were very impressed. Met with smiles and happy customers. The breakfast food we had was excellent! Pricing is very good! They have Iced Coffee...yum! Mealoaf omelette was very tasty. The potatoe pancakes are a must try...smooth and creamy...great flavor! The breakfast biscuits were the best I have had...very moist and flavorful. FYI...try the Hollandaise Sauce! Service was excellent and Fast! Can't wait to come back for more...lunch soon? Give Charlie's a try you won't regret it.

We have been looking for our go to place for breakfast in out new location. So far we have enjoyed this place most. They have a good selection of breakfast and lunch options. It's a bit small but not too loud. The English muffins were not shrink-lated. The service is great and friendly and we didn't wait to be seated.

Adorable cozy place right on the main drag. Food was delicious! My friend really loved the coffee and couldn't stop raving about it. She got the Charlie's Golden Dream Duo. It looked amazing! She enjoyed it very much. I got the the Chuck Norris and everything was fresh, hot, and filling BUT the BEST part of the whole meal were the potato pancakes!!! I could have eaten 10 of them. Not to mention reasonably priced. 10/10 would go back.

I’ve been going to Charlie’s for years, it has the hometown feel, excellent & friendly staff and Mike the cook is a cool cat!
