Charlie's Family Restaurant

Charlie's is a family restaurant in the Fort Washington area specializing in Greek, Italian, and American dishes. A small, quiet spot in the local plaza. Our server was Star, a very polite and entertaining lady who did a great job. The food was delicious. Tzatziki with pita as an appetizer, with lasagna for the entree, and red velvet cake for dessert. All well prepared and fresh. Price was fairly reasonable and portions were filling.

Charlie’s Family Restaurant is a real gem. My mom and I have been here a couple of times, and every visit has been a great experience. The food is so good—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything comes out hot and satisfying, with generous portions. The pizza is very good as well and definitely worth ordering. What really stands out is the service. The servers are super kind, friendly, and welcoming, always with a warm smile that makes you feel right at home. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Great food, great people, and a place that truly feels like a neighborhood favorite. We will definitely be back.

Charlie's is a small Greek spot with a large selection of tasty treats to delight your palate. They have a pretty brisk carry out business, but dining in is also a delight. Authentic Greek recipes, specials, pizza, American food, and desserts are what you'll had to Charlie's for, and you'll leave with a full belly, a mostly full wallet (very reasonable prices!), and perhaps a bottle of their famous house dressing. I personally recommend the fried zucchini, the gyros, the mousaka, and their limoncello cake! I don't think you'll leave disappointed.

I have been a patron of Charlie's for more than 30 years! We used to live just across MD-210 and visited all of the time when my children were young. Now, in the second generation, I bring my grandchildren! The pizza is phenomenal as usual, following Charlie's Greek recipe today just as in years past. We did notice the difference in size. Great little place! Had been here 15-20 years ago, and the food is still fantastic. They have great meatballs (you can order 2 as an appetizer), and they have some of the best grape leaves I've ever had! Their pizza is also very good (I don't usually eat pizza crust, but do here)! We also enjoyed the gyros! The service here is good too!! The place is a bit cramped/small though, but definitely cozy!!
