Charlies Crab House

First visit to Charlies. Charlies sold me 2.5 doz nice size live blue crabs and my family made our traditional crab stew which was awesome. I also purchase a pound of jumbo prawns for a bargin price of $20 a pound. Staff very friendly and they box up the crabs and bring them to your car. Thanks Charlie we'll back!

Best place in the Fredericksburg area for crabs! We showed up shortly after they opened on a Saturday to order 3 dozen #1 males...extra spicy. Every crab was delicious, heavy and did I mention delicious?! The staff were kind, friendly and helpful too. This has been my go-to place for years. Don't forget they are cash only! On this particular day, I totally spaced, offered to leave my friend as collateral and ran up to the 7-11 to use the ATM. Please note: my offer of collateral was declined and the crabs were waiting for us when we returned with cash in hand. :) Thanks for the fantastic crabs! 🦀

Drove from Richmond Va to get crabs for my 50th birthday. These were the biggest and best tasting crabs I have had . Been eating crabs all my life . The people are so nice that work there. They were hot and delicious. Will definitely be going back .

Crabs from Charlies were large, flavorful and definitely fresh! Staff were friendly and their seasoning mix was excellent. Charlie’s is CASH ONLY and they do sell out quickly (especially if you want #1 Males). My first time stopping in was on a Sunday which I quickly learned is a busy day for them, so I would recommend arriving shortly after opening, but I will absolutely be returning! There are only a few options for fresh crabs in the Fredericksburg area and after several disappointments with another local crab spot, I look forward to giving business to Charlie’s!
