Charlie's Bar and Grill

Great place. We can't rate the food as the kitchen was closed. But everyone was very nice. They serve awesome drinks and we love the atmosphere here.

I live in South Texas, so anytime I get the chance to catch some Cajun music within driving distance, I take it—especially if it’s Jamie Bergeron. I planned this trip weeks in advance: a 5-hour drive, 2 nights at a local hotel, and tickets for the show. I even called ahead to get pricing and information, making sure to let them know I’d be bringing my family, including my young daughter. We arrived in Winnie early and stopped by Charlie’s about 4 hours before the show for dinner. We spoke with two waitresses and the bartender, who explained that all tables were reserved—but no one had ever suggested to me that reserving a table was even an option when I called ahead. Still, they told us we could come back for standing room only and even gave us a quick tour. So we returned at 8:30, only

It was great! Me, my son and parents got out for awhile and really enjoyed it. We shot pool and had a wonderful visit. The bartender was amazing. Very courteous and prompt! I highly recommend! And outside was perfect!

Very nice and clean. Food is awesome and service was great. Daily specials! Friday is fish and shrimp! Gulf shrimp! I highly recommend this place.

Came during Christmas eve after hours and they weren't serving food, but I'm grateful I was allowed to use the restroom with my children.
