Charley Creek Inn

I was overwhelmed with our beautiful suite and everything to do in the hotel!! We stayed 2 nights to explore Wabash but ended up staying at the hotel. Started with room service breakfast. Shopped the old fashioned candy shop and had ice cream at the adorable ice cream counter. Wine and cheese tasting was awesome. Relaxed in the second floor lounge for a bit before dinner at Twenty. Food was fantastic and we stayed to listen to the piano player in the green hat bar. We will most definitely be back!!!

From walking through the door to the next morning eating breakfast with my husband it was grand! The beauty of this renovated Victorian hotel was amazing! We stayed in the Romantic Suite with a bottle of wine and box of chocolates awaited our arrival on the table! With a red rose 🌹 The room was beautiful and the bed was huge and comfy! We opted for Romantic Getaway and it came with the above gifts plus a $50 coupon for supper and a $20 certificate for breakfast which came from the hotel itself! Highly recommend this experience was everything we expected and more!

Quiet, comfortable, convenient and timeless. What can we say? Newly restored historic property’s block from Honeywell Center was a surprise. We were amazed at the furnishings in our room and throughout. Do not miss strolling in the lobby and take time to read or do email catch up on the Mezzanine. The framed artwork throughout was intriguing. In one case was an invitation to e recent event at Buckingham Palace no less with a demitasse cup that accompanied it. History I never knew and I grew up in Indiana. The rooms on 3 are named for various universities which is clever. Our was IU;-) Even though a Purdue grad, I appreciated this nod to education in my home state.

The room was most spacious, it was a suite with a kitchen and laundry capability. The only issue faced was the heat adjustment which was a bit balky when the outside temps were below zero degrees. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent and we plan to come back for it in the future.

I stopped here for one night on a cross country drive. As I wasn’t in a rush I stuck with my back roads and small town strategy. I sure am glad I picked Wabash and opted for this hotel. I arrived about an hour early and they were able to check me right in. There is a historic nature to this inn and really nice amenities to boot. Each room has a theme relating to the Wabash area and it’s tastefully done. There are classic touches like the period furniture and classic bathtub along with modern touches like a Kuerig and in in room refrigerator with complimentary water. The beds were super comfortable and the toiletries were quality. Upon check in we were given a pass for either a complimentary wine tasting or two scoops of ice cream from the in hotel candy store.
