Charles Street Garden

We booked this B&B at the last minute on our way to Asheville for the weekend - best decision we could have made. Walter and Sherry were the most hospitable hosts we could have asked for. Very private, clean, and quaint guest suite with a beautiful view of their gardens. Personal parking spot/entrance and a delicious breakfast served each morning. Just a short walk to downtown Saluda or a stroll up the street to explore the historic neighborhood. Only a 20 minute trip to Asheville and the Biltmore. One of the best experiences we have had and we will definitely be returning for future trips.

The Hoovers took us in for one night on very short notice, so we were appreciative before arriving. Upon arriving, we were then also delighted. Though the weather was quite cold, their suite was cozy and comfortable and the owners are terrific hosts. Walter greeted us and was full of information about the town and surrounding area, and Sherry made a lovely breakfast for us the following morning. It was a quick trip, but we were able to relax and enjoy Saluda during our stay. Even in winter, their garden is a sight to see--as is the beautiful, historic church next door. We hope to return in the spring and look forward to staying here again.

we have stayed there several times im guessing 8. it is the only place to stay while in or near saluda nc. the acomadations are great along with the location and the host. we look forward to our yearly visit to this quaint little town, that always seems to be crowded with tourist. charles street garden suite is such a cool place to stay you will return again and again.

The Charles Street Garden Suite is a great alternative to a hotel. The suite has a small kitchenette and a nice sitting area. The sitting area is in front of a large bay window that looks out into a garden with lots of birds. There is also a small covered porch outside the door where you can enjoy the garden. Sherry, one of the owners, is a great hostess. She provides breakfast in the suite at whichever time you select. One day I had French toast, another day it was scrambled eggs, and the third day was pancakes. Each breakfast was served with fresh fruit and OJ. Sherry makes sure that she is not intrusive but is available to provide whatever is needed to make your stay comfortable. We enjoyed our visit to the Charles Street Garden Suite. The suite is imaculate and located in the lower level of the home of Sherry & Walter Hoover. It is very private and secluded. The home is surrounded by an amazing garden – it would be nice to see in full bloom.||||The full breakfasts were good is served in the suite (French toast one day / poached eggs the other day). If there was one thing that I did not like about this arrangement was the opportunity to chat over breakfast and learn more about the area.||||It was nice to walk downtown for dinner on Saturday evening. We dined at the Purple Onion which was very nice. I liked it that they had a live bluegrass band starting at 8:00.
