The deli is inside the Chabad. The food is fantastic. I would highly recommend this place. We picked up the food. We drove in from Boston because there aren't many kosher places in Boston. The pastrami sandwich was one of the best I have ever had (A+ and this grade does not do justice to that sandwich). The Newton Ave was wonderful (A+) and so was the crispy Schnitzel sandwich (A+). The corned beef sandwich was solid (A-). We also got cole slaw (A-), roasted vegetables (A), and a parsley dip which was magnificent (A+). And did I mention the pastrami sandwich? It is genuinely a do-not-miss. It was worth driving an hour to eat here. It is by far the best kosher deli in Massachussets. Next time we are in Boston we will order a lot more.
I'll definitely be back! The food was delicious and the Rabbi very welcoming! The classic pastrami was tender, fatty, and flavorful. The bread was soft, and the meal came with sauces, slaw, and a fresh pickle.
The sandwiches are really expensive and the Reuben I got was half empty! (photos are both sides of the sandwich). Definitely not worth $23. Not sure I’ll be back unless they can make an entire sandwich. Positives- the half of a sandwich I got was tasty and the staff are really nice.
Very friendly service, delicious food. I had the pastrami on rye, best I've ever had. Also tried the chicken schnitzel also excellent. It was my first time here, and was confused because I was looking for a store front/signage. No sign, no storefront, it was absolutely in a building that looked like a factory. Entrance is on side, you won't be disappointed.
Photos from left to right: pastrami sandwich, delicious. Newton Ave sandwich in box with slaw, sauces. Newton showing filling. Newton close up. Newton roll. My wife and I went for lunch. Had very nice conversation with the Rabbi. Very welcoming, food outstanding.
