Chambo’s Italian Deli

Chambo’s is a great little place. Huge sandwiches and super friendly service. Bronx beef cutlet grinder is a hefty sandwich. Tasted freshly made and served hot. If you're in that area definitely give them a try.

Great sandwich and pasta salad in a cute area! We enjoyed the Nonno sandwich. Everything was fresh and tasty. There are some outdoor seating options.

Walked in shortly after opening. Small Italian style deli. Got two specialty grinders and some stuffed peppers. Greeted nicely with a smile. The girls who were working there had great energy and made a good funny vibe. Grinders were amazing. To put it in perspective the grinders are 16$ a peace, full of meat and veggies, soft A+ bread and I’m a bread snob. Bread was soft and not soggy or stale whatsoever! 16$ people are saying is a lot for the grinders it’s not. Not for what you get with the quality of ingredients. Last time I went to subway I got a grinder for over 17$ and it looked and tasted sad, depressed and didn’t satisfy the hunger whatsoever. I've been coming here ever since they opened because they genuinely make one of my favorite sandwiches I've ever had. Whether you want a grinder or wrap you can order anything off the menu or customize your own!! I get the same thing every time and they always make it with such love and care. I wish I could add a photo because it looks like a work of art!! Makes me hungry even when I'm not. All the women are so friendly and personable whenever I walk in and it's just such a great environment. I live on the other side of town but will honestly drive an hour out of my way wherever I am to make a special Chambo's stop. Thank you ladies!!! <3

I was up in Haddam on a home inspection and decided to explore the area, heading down to Chester and Deep River when I found Chambo's. I had a hard time deciding as I was hungry but settled on a small Nonno and a Melilli. Satisfied with my selections doesn't come close to expressing my thoughts! Delicious! Flavorful! Half of each was wall more than I probably should have eaten! Both grinders were full of meat, fresh bread, and perfectly balanced flavors! They even asked if I preferred the dressing on the side so the bread didn't get soggy (which I may have remarked that I preferred a soggy sandwich!) All in all, I would and will return to Chambo's in the future and try some of the items that people have low ratings on, because I find it hard to believe after eating these two (halves) subs!
