Chain O Lakes Bar and Grill

Overall we were not impressed. We are in town from Florida visiting family and we were really looking forward to a Friday fish fry. We very very disappointed. We ordered the beer batter cod and it’s pictured below. That was not beer batter, it was very thick and doughy. The texture and taste were not good. Perch was decent, probably the best out of the order. Ordered the blackened walleye, overall it was ok. We also ordered Mac and cheese and had to add cheese to it there was very little cheese and no flavor. We would definitely visit somewhere else next time.

Great food, great service. Was extremely busy when we went. We didn't have to wait long for a table or for our food once we ordered. Food was delicious! Recommend the beer cheese dip for an appetizer. Beer battered fish fry was great, not to greasy and was hot when served. The Cajun walleye is excellent as well. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended to stop in for a bite if your in the area. Only complaint we have is the phone is in the dining room and was ringing constantly. Was very loud and annoying.

I order beer battered fish dinner to go. I paid $12.00 for 2 fish sticks that were no beer battered. Coleslaw was warm and tan colored. The baked potato was good. My index finger next to fish stick for size comparison.

We arrived on a Friday night 8/1 with a very large group of family. The staff worked hard to accommodate us and we enjoyed our evening. Our server did the best she could with such a large group and separate checks. Kudos to her.

Chain O' Lakes Bar and Grill has excellent food. The soup of the day was Cajun chowder. It had amazing flavor. We had the Cheese Beer Dip and pita chips which was great. We had the BLT and the Green Olive Burger with a loaded baked potato. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive to our needs.
