Little Fat Gretchen's

We live about twenty five minutes away. When we go out for breakfast, this is absolutely our go-to. Gretchen's can be very popular (crowded) during the tourist season and unless you are there just after they open, you will probably have to wait to get a table on summer weekends. However, that is truly indicative of just how good this place is. We are retired and my wife and I agree that it is amongst the best cafes we have ever visited.

The good was great. We arrived at 11 a.m. so got a table right away. I had biscuits and gravy. They were the best I've ever eaten. The food was great. Their desserts looked amazing, so, I bright s piece of pie home, to have with supper@

Smallish menu, but everything's so good that's a good thing. If there were more options, I wouldn't be able to choose what to order. The pancakes are aggressively fluffy and their omelettes do not mess around. The coffee is actual good coffee. There can be a bit of a wait during peak times but they're pretty efficient so it's not too bad. Eat here and be happy.

We came in today at a time when it was fully PACKED. The staff was incredibly efficient at seating and grabbing our order within minutes. I don't think a fast food chain could've gotten out meals faster than we got ours. The coffee was great, the food was amazing, and the server was always available when when we needed something. We tipped probably 50% because it was so impressive. Our server according to the receipt was Corndog. You rock! Thanks again

Anytime I am in the area, I have brunch at Little Fat Gretchen’s. This place has excellent food and a great bakery selection. (They even have gluten free options!) Staff is all very friendly. There is local art for sale hung around the restaurant. Such a great little spot. Definitely recommend.
