I was there yesterday with my husband and the chef camo great us and he was very friendly as well as the waiter. The food is really good. I had the pescado frito and I asked no tail no head no skin. It came out just the way I like. My husband had the stake which was perfect. The yuca frita with a delicious sauce amazing. I already recommended to my family and friends and we will return. Finally a good restaurant in New Haven that has good food without hot spices that disguise the good flavors.

The starters were alright, but the main dishes were underwhelming. Both the salmon bowl and pork belly with rice lacked any noteworthy flavors and were quite bland. If you're looking for distinctive and flavorful food, this place may not be the best fit. Unfortunately, one of our party members fell ill, possibly due to the potato and chicken salad being past its freshness. On a positive note, the cocktails and drinks were enjoyable, and the service was attentive and friendly.

Went here for dinner during Restaurant Week 2024. The menu was what immediately drew us to this specific location. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped me decide what to try as someone who was never had Pisco before. I appreciate when restaurants and their servers add little recommendations and personalize your experience. For the first course we tried the empanadas and the veal heart. We were feeling adventurous (we don't typically eat organ meat) and our risk paid off. The veal heart was some of the most delicious and flavorful meat I have had. I want to go back to Chacra just for that dish. For the main course, both of our dishes were delicious. Mine was a variation of steak frites in a super savory sauce. I could have eaten two plates of that. The desserts were yummy as wel

We were back at Chacra's because now they have a patio, and it was a nice day. Unfortunately, we left disappointed. The waiter that served the water was absolutely rude, and it took some time to take our drinks and appetizer orders (the patio wasn't full). The first drinks were on point perfdct balance of heat and pisco. The pulpo was good but was different from the first visit there, the calamari frozen pre cut rings, the ceviche for $30 not worth, I would have expected a bigger portion. You can see the 1 year ago pictures to today's. Second round of drink not what we order, apologies accepted, thinking the dining room inside was busy so bartender was busy, but no it was empty and everyone on their phones ... no wonder they made the wrong drink. It's annoying because we were hoping to be

I had high hopes when my husband made reservations at Chacra Pisco Bar for Valentine's Day. However, the experience got off to a rocky start when the person seating us barely acknowledged us. I just gave my name and he stared at his tablet in silence before I prompted that we were likely first on the list. In a standoffish tone he replied "I know" and led us to a cramped table in the very back, right by the bathroom and high traffic bar area. Once we got our actual waiter, the service greatly improved. He warmly presented us the Valentine's Day menu and let us know we could also order from the regular menu. The drinks from the cocktail-savvy bartender were excellent - her virgin Mojitos and Moscow Mules were perfectly balanced. The food was hit or miss. The empanadas with the creamy dippin
